Our Story
The Community Birth Center is the 2nd BIPOC developed and owned freestanding birth center in WA State. Founder, Terri Chi-Lee, developed the CBC with the vision of a true community-based facility that nurtures safe, accessible, culturally matched, and inclusive reproductive healthcare.
Mission
Our mission is to create pathways and solutions to address the maternal & infant mortality deficit among BIPGM (Black, Indigenous, People of the Global Majority) by providing accessible, healing, holistic, community-centered, and culturally matched reproductive healthcare.
